Dear All,

Warm Greetings. Till now, I am using Apple Macbook Pro ( non-retina version) late 2012 edition and do all my processing there. Now I am planning to upgrade to a quality desktop Monitor that I can connect with my MacbookPro with HDMI/Thunderbolt cable and do the processing. Need your suggestion/opinion for choosing the monitor. Definitely image processing will be the utmost priority for it.
Looking for a good budget option to get the job done efficiently.

* Though I am a big fan of Apple but 27" iMac is out of my budget for this purpose.  :D

Thanks and Regards,
Ari.

You may consider New Ultra sharp series of Dell with 27" or 30" version. Though NEC Spectra view may be the best with dedicated calibration option but DELL is good choice for budget user.

Adobe RGB is always preferable with more colour Gamut but the utilization will depends on calibration of the monitor properly. If You do not want to go through calibration process Adobe sRGB is ok for you.
