Firmware updates for EOS 1D Mark III and 1Ds Mark III cameras are now available from the Canon website. The updates include some long awaited improvements such as direct selection of AF points by the Multi-controller, alternate access to exposure compensation controls and improvements to auto focus in low light - something nature photographers have discussed at length. It will be interesting to see if said af improvements are noticeable in real-word situations...
1D Mark III users will also enjoy additional control over Speedlights; "With the camera’s External Speedlite control menu, Flash function settings can be used to set the Wireless setting and Zoom." This has been available for the "s" version from initial release.
