Announcing the 2004 Images of the Year!

E-mail Print
The image critique galleries in the NatureScapes.Net forums are filled with fantastic and inspiring photos! With images posted constantly in a community of thousands of photographers from all over the globe, there is always something new and fresh to view. And even when you think you couldn’t possibly see anything that could impress you more, another photo comes along that simply stuns you.

Each week the moderators and staff of NatureScapes.Net select one photo that particularly stands out in each of the image critique galleries. This photo becomes that gallery’s Image of the Week, and at year’s end, one image is selected from these to be the gallery’s Image of the Year.

It is our great honor to announce the NatureScapes.Net 2004 Images of the Year awards! Our congratulations to Jim Neiger (Birds), Tom Hill (Wildlife), Ron Niebrugge (Landscapes), Herman Blockx, (Flora and Macro), and Gary Best (Elements of Humankind) for their winning images!

To view the winning images and find out more about the photographers who made them, please visit the 2004 Images of the Year Gallery. Winners received a complimentary Lifetime Membership to NatureScapes.Net, a NatureScapes.Net logo cap, plus a $300.00 shopping spree at the NatureScapes.Net online store, a total value of over $500 each! Membership benefits include the image upload service, discounts on participating workshops, plus a fifty-image portfolio when the member portfolios are introduced. Products in the store include the Wimberley line, Foxgloves gloves, NEOS overshoes, Gitzo tripods and parts, Hakuba products, Kinesis products, and more!

Special thanks to Wimberley and Foxgloves, the Image of the Year sponsors, who made the NatureScapes.Net 2004 Images of the Year photo contest possible.

NatureScapes.Net is looking to make the 2005 Images of the Year prizes even more enticing! For more information on how to participate for 2005 and on the new prizes (as information becomes available), please visit the Images of the Year prizes and information page.
